Wiltshire Training Grants
Childcare Grant 2008-09
Training grants are available through the Sure Start Childcare Grant for registered childminders as well as voluntary and paid childcare workers in pre-schools, nurseries and out of school settings. The current subsidy levels are subject to change and availability as well as candidates meeting the eligibility criteria for further information please contact the Workforce Development Team on 0845 601 2392. If you wish to apply for funding please ensure you follow this simple two step procedure:
1. If you or your staff would like to attend a course please ensure that you apply for the grant PRIOR to paying for the course
2. We are working as quickly as we can to process all application forms, however you should allow at least 2 WEEKS for your claim to be confirmed.
Graduate Leadership Fund (GLF) 2008-09
The Graduate Leadership Fund (GLF) aims to raise the quality of Early Years provision by supporting workforce development. The GLF has superseded the Transformation Fund and this new funding stream has been introduced to help full day care PVI settings introduce more graduate leaders with Early Years Professional Status (EYPS). There are 2 strands within the GLF, these are:
1. Graduate Quality Premium (GQP)- A £5000 grant for full day care settings, who already employ a level 5 or 6 graduate leading the curriculum, to help them achieve Early Years Professional Status (EYPS).
2. Home Grown Graduate Incentive (HGGI)- A £1500 grant for full day care settings, that do not have a graduate but who want their current curriculum leader to progress to level 5 via the Early Years Foundation Degree and on to Early Years Professional Status.

All applications are subject to a funding panel that will be prioritising funding to improve outcomes for children; you will be notified within one month of returning the application form whether your application has been successful.
